Privacy Policy

Overview

Plant Water Meter (“we”, “our”, or “the app”) is a personal plant care journal. Most of your data stays on your device. This policy explains what we collect, why we use it, and the choices you have.

Information stored on your device

The app may store locally, without sending it to our servers by default:

• Plant names, care records, photos, and optional voice notes
• Watering schedules, reminders, and comparison summaries
• Display name, personal signature, and in-app coin balance
• Notification and reminder preferences

Clearing data or deleting your account in the Me tab removes this local information from the device.

Permissions we may request

Camera & Photo Library

Used only when you choose to attach plant photos or save comparison images.

Microphone

Used only when you record optional voice care notes.

Notifications

Used to remind you about watering and other care tasks you enable.

App Tracking Transparency (ATT)

On supported devices, iOS may ask whether the app can track you across other companies’ apps and websites. Your choice is managed by Apple. We respect the system setting you select.

Purchases

Coin purchases are processed by Apple through In-App Purchase. We do not receive your full payment card details. Transaction history is handled according to Apple’s policies.

Third-party services

If you open links inside the app (for example, this privacy page or support page), your browser or network provider may collect standard connection data. We recommend hosting these pages on HTTPS under your own domain.

Children’s privacy

The app is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this page from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will reflect the latest version. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the revised policy.
